Remote terminal units (RTUs) connect to sensors or function devices in the process and convert sensor signals to digital data. They have telemetry hardware capable of sending digital data to the supervisory system, as well as receiving digital commands from the supervisory system. RTUs often have embedded control capabilities such as ladder logic in order to accomplish boolean logic operations.

Remote I/O module makes communication with different Ethernet and serial interfaces possible. With modular I/O, sensor data and simple analog or digital devices can be monitored or controlled over Ethernet or RS-232/485. IP Device Server ( IDS )

The Winsonic IP Device Server provides easy and reliable Serial-to-Ethernet connectivity for the industrial automation market. The IDS can be used to connect any serial device to an Ethernet and Internet network, and to provide TCP server, TCP client, and UDP modes to ensure the compatibility of network software. The IDS Windows driver installs a virtual COM on windows which maps the virtual COM port to the IP address of the IDS across the network, enabling the Windows applications to access remote serial devices over Ethernet and Internet network.

USB to CAN Converter

Winsonic USB to CAN Converter is a very small and inexpensive dongle that plugs into any PC USB Port and gives an instant CAN connectivity. This means it can be treated by software as a standard COM Port (serial RS232 port) which eliminates the need for any extra drivers or by installing a direct driver DLL for faster communications and higher CAN bus loads. Sending and receiving can be done in standard ASCII format or using the windows threaded CANUSB DLL or ActiveX controller.
